In Mr O’Neill’s recollection, the Sky Blue restaurant had previously been a café called the Ponderosa; this was back in the 60s and 70s. The restaurant itself was closed a couple of years after the murder. As stated elsewhere on this site, the O’Neill/Pearce family had dined at the restaurant before and were well known there. Ram was also known there; as one of the waiters pointed out, on previous visits they (Ram and Shinji) had been abusive to the staff.
