93c Venner Road, Sydenham, London SE26 5HU. 0208 659 7713 E-Mail A_Baron@ABaron.Demon.Co.UK October 21, 2000 Dear Madam, I hope you will forgive me for writing to you out of the blue, and if you are not who I think you are I apologise in advance, but I think you will be interested in talking to me. I am an independent researcher; I specialise in the exposure of disinfor- mation, in a word, lies. As you are probably aware, there has been for the past few years a campaign not only to free but to exculpate Satpal Ram. I have read a great deal about this case in the press but mainly on the WorldWideWeb where all manner of claims have been made about the tragic encounter with which you are doubtless all too familiar. Recently I dug out the original press reports from both the incident and the trial and there is no way the claims of Ram's supporters can be reconciled with these. As I believe in giving all parties a hearing I have written both to Ram's current solicitor and to the campaign requesting copies of the witness statements and other information. My letters have been ignored, as I expected them to be. The brief law reports on the Ram case are also very telling. I would like to obtain copies of any relevant witness statements and any other evidence, in particular any reports of the death of Clark Pearce at the hospi- tal rather than the fantasy Ram's supporters are continuing to spread. Yours sincerely, A Baron
