Dear Sir,
I wrote to you on June 26 - a copy of my previous letter is
enclosed. I would be most grateful if you could reply to the
points raised without my having to pester my MP yet again. At the
bottom of your undated letter to Mrs Lait is what is apparently a
Home Office motto: BUILDING A SAFE, JUST AND TOLERANT SOCIETY.
I will settle for a little less safety and a little more open-
ness. In this connection I would like to remind you that you are
a public servant, and I am the public.
